Budget Hotels (<$100) nr Moscone CC San Francisco?
Hi everyone,
I've tried searching around the forums for info on hotels near the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco and most recommendations are for 3-4 star hotels. I'll be staying there in April for a week for a conference and if anyone can recommend decent budget hotels near the center, approx <$100 per night, that'd be great. B&Bs and Hotels are preferred over hostels.
Requirements - room size doesn't have to be too spacious but ideally quiet with ensuite bathroom as I suspect I'll need to prepare for conference presentations during my stay in SF. Clean and must have some form of heating (I'm coming from a tropical climate and I believe SF in April will still be a tad cold for me lol).
Any help appreciated!
(I'm not American so am not sure if I qualify to use something like priceline...
)

Personally - If i didn't want to pay the price of a 4 star hotel in that area I would stay elsewhere in the city. A 2 star place near the conv center will likely be pretty nasty.
Public transport in very good in SF - so I'd look for something more affordable in a nicer neighborhood.

The Mosser hotel is not too bad but the rooms that are under $100 are rooms that share a bathroom. They also have en suite rooms but they are over $100. The suggestion of the Milano is good but to get the lower rate it depends on your dates in April. I know that Easter 2006 is in April and schools will also be having springs breaks around that time so the rates seem to change week to week.
