Does anyone know what's going on? I have a car scheduled in a couple of weeks.

ttt. I hope they are going out of business! Last year while driving through Sequoia NP, a tree branch knocked off the passenger side rear view mirror. Amex paid them the $110.00 cost for the replacement for the mirror, but they wanted $120.00 more for their stupid bogus fees! They even began to send us to collection agency when we balked about paying. Amex would pay the fees if Budget would have provided proof, but they wouldn't. Wound up paying the rest, since we didn't want to risk a bad credit report. My words of adviceONT RENT FROM BUDGET!!!!

Budget has to be the worst car rental agency out there. They repeatedly charged our credit card for our rental in Hawaii last year. (Maui)We will never forget how rude they were to us when we tried to straighten this out. The woman's name was Napua. We will never forget her as long as we live.

We had to have a conference call with our credit card co and her. She still denied putting all these charges through even when our credit card company verified to her that they showed 9 different holds on that one card. What a nightmare! Finally our credit card company took all the extra holds off our card 2 days before we left to go home. DON'T RENT FROM BUDGET.

Michelle I doubt they will close their doors just yet. You see how it works with the airline, yes? There is usually a couple of years before they close their doors.

well, if you can, consider your second choice. I rented from them and they doubled the charges - found out on my credit card bill, not from them. The manager of the location said that I returned the car days after I had returned it. The company never did anything to try and resolve the dispute. I would never rent from them under any circumstance.

We also had a horrible experience with a recent budget car rental. Unbelieveabley rude employees, no cars in the class available with no upgrade offered, filthy vehicles, over charges, etc. Corporate customer service is a joke! They have no way of helping customers. I have never been treated so bad by any business in my life.

The good thing is, if you have a Budget car right now, you can keep it!
