Brunswick Georgia

This is the beginning of my information search Brunswick, so feel free to offer suggestions. Looking for a beach house rental or a luxury hotel close to the ocean for family time. Our children and their families have not been together for 4 years. We are in the early stages of planning to meet in Brunswick Georgia for the Holiday Season (Dec 26--Jan 2) Any advise?

You won't find many "luxery hotels" or the type of accomodations I think you're seeking in Brunswick.
Try neighboring Jekyll Island and the Jekyll Island Club or Sea Island where you have The Cloister, etc.

Or even St. Simon's Island. You definitely don't want to hang around Brunswick very much.

Thanks for the Brunswick information. I am checking out Jekyll Island Club and The Cloister. I will now check out St Simons Island. The area sounds so wonderful, we are looking for very nice accomadations, as I know the weather will be cool. But cool weather never disturbs the views. More suggestions will be appreciated---thanks

My family, daughter and grandkids are going to Jekyll Island at the end of June. I will let you know how it is. I think Jekyll is more suited to what we desire, nature, not to commerical, family oriented.

I think that Amelia Island in Florida is even nicer than the other spots that've been mentioned. Not far from those places. Likewise, Kiawah Island in South Carolina, so close to Charleston-- nicest of all imo. (Or are you looking only for Georgia?)

We need to meet in Brunswick, then go on to a family vacation. I am going to check out the other islands that you listed, as long as they are only several hours from Brunswick. As this must be our starting point. Any resort ideas? THanks
