Brown University

I have 2-3 hours to spend in Providence, RI and I would like to visit Brown U. (have visited other sites in Prov. already). Any suggestions for art exhibits, history on campus? or at Rhode Island School of Design? Will need help with lunch and parking as well......early afternoon. Walking is not a problem.

Thanks, AMie

Lots of eateries on Thayer Street near both schools. Been a long time since I've been there but I imagine just walking up and down the street you'll find something appealing.

Have you gone on the web sites for Brown and RISD to see what is going on? You will find comprehensive information there.

right now there is a Dale Chihuly exhibit celebrating the opening of the Chace Center at RISD. Quite the show, i'm sure.

Thanks to each one who answered my questions about Brown University. I was able to visit the Chahuly exhibit at RISD and also enjoyed the walk along the river. I parked at the Providence Center and walked around Providence as well as to the RISD. Information desks workers at both the airport and the center helped me as well....esp. giving parking and walking directions. It was so easy....Providence deserves another longer visit. I pretty much will miss the season for lighting fires on the river but will catch it next year. Thanks again to all who encouraged me. Amie
