Brooklyn Botanical Garden in winter?

I am visiting a friend in NYC on the weekend of Feb 19th...trying to think of some things to do and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens is really appealing, but not sure how a visit would be in the winter time? Has anyone been and would it be worth it, considering the weather? Any other suggestions for indoor (and lower cost) things to do?

Check the Brooklyn Botanic Garden website for February events:

Also note that the Brooklyn Museum is next to the garden. There's even a combined ticket for same-day visits.

The indoor part of this attraction is very good, though there won't be anything worth seeing outdoors. Up to you.

Yes, I did see that they offer tours on the date I will be there. I suppose there must be things worth seeing if they are giving guided tours. I didn't know that you could get a combined ticket to the other museum, sounds like a good deal! Good to know that the indoor part is worth it, thanks for the responses

There's a Caribbean display at the NY Botanic Gardens in the Bronx. http://www.nybg.org/caribbean-garden.php
