B and the Beast isn't on playbill.COM's discount section...
Or why Tom Sawyer isn't on the list. I just received a direct mail piece on their discounted previews - which I always thought was from playbill.com - but it isn't one of the shows listed.
Do you know why B&B isn't on playbill.com? Or, where the discount 'slips/tickets' are passed out? Or anything about the who / what / how-do-you-find-out-all-of-them?
I'd love to have one single place to easily get the discount codes.. but haven't found it yet....

I'm very surprised that B&B is not on Playbill's website, especially now during the slack season.
In response to you question, I forget the source of them. I'm on their bulk distribution mailing list. Will check the next time I get some. In New York, you can find them at the booths which offer help to tourists around Grand Central Terminal and other points.
For a non-New Yorker, the Playbill website is really the best source of discount tickets outside the area.

Howard,
Thanks 4 answer. I noticed a table with fliers set up outside TKTS at Duffy Sq (last Tuesday pm). I 'thought' they would have discount codes, especially Nuremberg (sp?) as it isn't open yet. Identical to the mail, but no discount codes printed.... Thought it was strange. I didn't have time to read all of the fliers - but there were quite few.
The B&B postcard with the discount was in a PathMark in Jersey. It was BrandAid Communications (hence the BAID code....) that printed the card. Strange place, it was with other cards such as gutter cleaning ads and pet horoscopes...
Thanks. Good to know that GCT has the other discount 'slips' - but can I find them any place closer to the theatres???

If you check at the concierge desk in any of the larger hotels in the Theatre district they will often have discount slips. We went to Les Mis a few years back at a tim when it wasn't available at TKTS. Box office wanted full price day of show and we got decent seats at 1/3 discount with the slip - got it from the concierge but can't recall which hotel - most will have them.

Good point, Caitlin. I've used ours several times, getting tickets for "Kiss Me, Kate," "Fosse," "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife" and others at discount prices before the shows opened. (Unfortunately, "The Producers" has not sending out such pre-show mailing!) When a show has been playing a while, discount mailings will also go out. However, I've got a gut feeling that those flyers only go out to greater NYC area.
