Bristol Hotel - San Diego

Is anyone familiar with this hotel? Any opinions? I am planning a solo trip to SD in November for some shopping and sightseeing, and would like a hotel in a convenient location. TIA

If you are traveling alone, I would sugggest the Gas light district downtown would be a great location for shopping etc. Also Hotel circle is close to the zoo, Balboa Park, Sea world. No I am not familiar with this hotel. Sorry.

Naneki, the Bristol hotel is close to the Gaslamp district, just a block or so away. It is just as close to the Zoo and Balboa park as Hotel Circle, perhaps closer. I live in San Diego and have never been in this hotel, sorry. If you will have a car with you, check with them about parking. If they don't supply any, you'll have a hard time finding any close by.

Topping for more opinions. I may be staying there in march and was quoted $169/night.

I stayed in this hotel one night last Februrary. It was a bit of a walk to the main part of the Gaslamp---but hey, a walk in San Diego is a good thing!
The hotel itself was bright and cheery with large rooms. Lots of oranges and yellows everywhere. I'd recommend it!
