Breakfast in San Fransisco

I am traveling to San Fransisco this weekend (6/2/00) and would like to find a good breakfast spot. Last visit I tried Sears and would like to try something different. I will have my 2 sons with me (23,21).
Any sugestions?

Try Postrio restaurant, located in the Prescott Hotel. It's owned by Wolfgang Puck. Delicious breakfast! I should mention that it's pricey. You'll probably need reservations, since it's a week-end. Enjoy!

"All You Knead" in the Haight. This is a dive - but the food is great and plentiful, and your sons are just the right age to enjoy the experience. Our daughter introduced this little place to us when she attended USF 2 years ago.

Kuletos's on Powell, Buena Vista Cafe, PJ's Oyster Bar are nice, too.

My two favorites are:

For Chinese -- the New Asia Gardens.
For Posh -- the Garden Court at the Palace.

John, I would suggest going over to Sausalito there a a couple of nice places there and the view of the city is georgeous.

There is a hotel on a hill overlooking the city very well known (just that I can't remember the name) and they have a fab brunch. You would need reservations and maybe someone else here can remember the name.

Have a great trip SF is one of my favorite cities.

Doidge's on Union Street is a great breakfast place. However, if you're going this weekend, don't drive to Union Street b/c the Union Street Fair is happening on Saturday and Sunday.

Another great brunch place is Cafe for All Seasons in West Portal. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

We had breakfast at Dottie, Blue Dot Grill on Jones at Gleary. We were there early enough to avoid to much line, there are only about 12 tables and the line was 15 people when we left. The eggs ,omelete, bacon, sausage was great, the whole wheat toast was very thick and not my prefernce but some may love it, the potatoes were avaerage, the coffee was great.
