Branson, Missouri, Anyone?

We are planning a trip to Branson, Missouri. Does anyone have any recommendations on lodging (family oriented: pools, free breakfasts, close enough to walk to somewhere)? Also what are the best shows with elementary age children? I've visited Branson on-line but would like recommends. Thanks so much!!

The Days Inn offers a free continental breakfast and is across from White Water, a great water park. I would imagine your kids will love the Dixie Stampede show-a HUGE amount of eat-with-your-hands-only food and show in an arena with horses (North vrs. South fun). There is also a comedy/magic show in Branson that I have heard excellent things about. I've been going to Branson and Silver Dollar City for over 30 years now-enjoy! Please email me if you need more info-we usually stay at a lakeside resort.

The Presley's show has a lot of humor and is very entertaining. You and the kids should enjoy it. I loved The Bobby Vinton Show, but I do not think the kids would go for that kind of music!!! He sings just like he did in the 60's. His entertainment is very professional. For some reason most of the show sang "The Phantom of the Opera". Vinton, by far was the best! The Bass Pro Shop about an hour drive away is fabulous and well worth the drive. It is also like a museum inside. Sorry that I could not offer any more help.

We are also planning a trip to Branson, but without children. Where did you find Branson online? We'd like to know what shows are playing in June. Thanks. Hope you have a great time!
