The restaurant at Chautauqua Park is very nice, especially if you sit on the veranda with a view of the Flatirons. Great good and service there. It opens at 5:00 or 5:30, so get there early if you want to sit outside.
We ate at The Kitchen this past weekend. It's on Pearl Street, between 9th and 10th, I think. It's small, mostly organic, elegant menu and service. Pricey but worth it. It's even open for breakfast and lunch, 24/7.
Also, The Mediterranean, on Walnut at 10th or so is also very good for lunch especially.
There are many, many good restaurants in Boulder that are unique, not chains-- which is the best part.

Our current favorite is L 'Atelier. It is located on Pearl around 18th. Incredible food and service at surprisingly reasonable prices. Some great wines that won't break the bank either. 14th Street Bar & Grill, The Mediterraean, and Zolo Grill are all very good too. Personally I find Sunflower and Mateo overpriced and overrated. Haven't tried Frasca yet but it is supposed to be unbelievable.
