copley place or long wharf area?

I stayed at the Charlesmark in the Copley area a few weeks ago, and found it very centrally located. I would recommend it.

Winter/Fall - Copley
Spring/Summer - Long Wharf.

Just my opinion!

Some do like being on the waterfront in the summer - you have the waterfront park to relax in, overlooking the marine/water and some days a better chance of breezes, but depends on what you are coming for

For location and easy access, I prefer the Copley Place/Back Bay locations - much easier to walk to more things than it is from the waterfront, I think.

waterfront is close to North End and Faneuil Hall, and for access if doing any of the harbor or harbor island tours -
but you have to walk through Faneuil to then get on your way towards Boston Common, Boston Public Garden, Newbury/Boylston/Commonwealth Ave, Copley Place, Boston Public Library, Charles Street and Charles River/Esplanade, closer to getting to MFA, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum...endless list - to me, just so much more near Copley Place

I also vote for Copley/Back Bay - just seems more convenient and walkable.

You can't lose either way. Both are great areas that have easy access to public transportation and are walking distance to attractions and great dining. I like Kealalani's idea - waterfront in summer and Back Bay in winter.

I vote for Copley Squar area, you hav shoppin, fantastic restaurants and an asy walk to the trendy south end and a beautful stroll along the charles river to watch the sailboats, joggers, sunbathers, the mini parks at Christian Scientist center, Copley Square.
You have the beautiful Public Garden and the Boston Common and it's easier to get to the MFA and Gardner mueums.
