The hotels in the Back Bay are for the most part very accessible to the Green Line. The Colonade has an entrance to a branch of the Green Line right in front. The Sheraton Prudential Center is also accessible to the Green Line. Lenox is about 1 block away. Copley Plaza also. The Millenium Bostonian is close to the Haymarket station of the Orange Line. Holiday Inn on Cambridge Street is about a block from the Blue Line.
Is there a particular address in Boston that you are going to on the T? If so we could probably help identify closest T line and help eliminate changing lines.

Besides the Sheraton, the Hilton is across the street on Dalton Street. Directly across the street from the Back Bay Station (green line, orange line, and commuter rail) are the Westin and Marriott Hotels, besides the Copley Plaza.
Any idea how much you want to spend per night?
