Boston/Cape-Spring or Fall Better?

Trying to plan our 2005 vacations. We're thinking of Boston/Cape Cod area. Which time of year is best for sightseeing (not concerned about seeing 'fall colors') - just want some good weather. Is lobster season year round? Once on a business trip yrs ago I stayed at a Red Hat Inn on the ocean and had a great lobster dinner at a local's dining place within walking distance -- wonderful. Thanks for the help!

Considering the weather we've had this winter, you can expect Spring to arrive in the Boston area some time in late June. The storm that is expected on Monday will put the Cape above its previous all-time record for a winter's snowfall. With this weather pattern, I would wait til fall.

There's no such thing as Spring in New England. We have do have 4 seasons though Winter, Summer, Fall and Mud. I've even heard it said that we really only have 1 season and 2 months when you can't use your sled.

Seriously, Spring is weird here - it could snow, it could be 90. The Cape experiences more Spring than most parts of the area.

Best weather is in the fall. Lobsters are better after they shed, usually sometime in Aug.

Lobsters are served year-round.

We prefer the Spring because it is so nice to see all the trees getting their leaves, and the flowers in bloom everywhere.

Business owners and summer help are in a good mood in anticipation of a good season after a long, cold winter.
