You might consider another tactic. The problem is likely to be Saturday the 14th, in terms of high rates. If you don't mid changing hotels, you can definately stay at a nice place the rest of the time.
That time of year, many hotels should have great rates for Sunday through Thursday. (Bellagio had a $129 rate offer mid-week) Go with what you can get for Saturday. But, you might find a much better deal at say the Mirage, Monte Carlo, NYNY, and other mid-priced hotels starting Sunday night.

Sat night is a problem...San Remo is showing an average of $111 a night on Orbitz..and 112.50 a night on hotels.com----some are showing restrictions on Sat night or sold out...Valentine's Day a problem..sorry I didn't
think..Bourbon St is closer to more things..Rio -Alladin,etc. showed restrictions but reasonable other nights...maybe stay at less desirable place Sat and move..
