On a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the worst, Minnesota rates a 10.
Hawaii barely rates a 1.
I get bit by a mosquito once a month in Hawaii.
In Minnesota you can get bit hundreds of times a day in the summer.

I am a mosquito magnet. They come to bite me before anyone else. I was in Maui just two weeks ago for a week and did not get one bite! I did use some OFF before going to the luau but other nights I did not use OFF and still got no bites!

I've heard that mosquitoes like people who sweat a lot, does that describe your husband tdy?
He should take garlic capsules daily, and start maybe a week before heading into mosquito territory. Stay away from "fruity shampoo", and dry all his clothes using "Bounce" or some other smelly softener. Put a strip of Bounce in his suitcase as well.
I hate bug spray and can usually only manage to spray a little on my ballcap, but the other precautions have been working very well for me.
