Birthday trip to Vegas

a friend and I have been given a 3 night trip to vegas to celebrate our birthdays in mid-November (don't ask the age involved, OK?). We'll stay at the MGM Grand and will definitely see KA. also want to do a full day Spa package (any suggestions here?) and another show....Mama Mia, Moody Blues, George Carlin, etc? again- suggestions welcome (we're not into Zumanity type shows). Will have a day to do something outside of vegas...hoover dam is one idea. Input on restaurants, etc very welcome. altho I've been to vegas annually for the last 4 years, its always been on business with zero time free to do anything fun. Thanks!

Enjoy a birthday toast with the large outrageous signature drink at the Voodoo Lounge or a "Warp Core Breach" at Quark's in the Hilton. Both are large drinks with dry ice fog billowing out of them. Fun!

As far as other shows to see, I think you're going to have to tell us your ages so we know what type of show to recommend! Or at least what kind of show you'd like to see,....magic, comedy, singing, etc.

For a day trip outside of Vegas, I love Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon. Go see George Carlin. He is so funny! And I'm not a Cirque du Soleil fan, either.

It's so fun just to walk around the strip. Go to see the dolphins and the white felines in the Secret Garden at the Mirage. Walk through the Caesar's Shops. Watch the fountains at the Bellagio. Go into New York, New York and eat along the "sidewalk" there. - It really looks like you're outside (even with steam coming out of the grates!) I'm a Star Trek fan so I love The Experience at the Hilton. It's fun even if you're not a big fan.

We were in Vegas in June for my husband's b-day and I took him to see Danny Gans at the Mirage. He had been wanting to see this show and I didn't care one way or the other. The show was so great! We really enjoyed it. Might be up your alley.

Cirque du Soleil - "O"!
Check out the lobby and gardens and art at Bellagio before the show.
