You won’t believe this, but we were told yesterday that the bikes were considered unclaimed by AirEuropa, since my DH never claimed them in Madrid – um like that was an option. AE was the carrier from Palma to Madrid. CO tells its looks like they were sent to the AE unclaimed baggage warehouse and there is a good chance we will not see the bikes again. We have emailed, and faxed AirEuropa.. They won't talk with us because we don’t have the open lost claim with them but CO. We filed a financial claim with CO, 5 days later than we were supposed, but no one told us we needed to do it after 5 days. We also and put together big packets of material to send to the customer service and baggage lost dept. My husband is defeated at this point. He is going the acceptance of loss stage. Happy tourist thanks for the hope. I am trying to keep a glimmer of it, but financially it’s a huge lost for us.

How far up the chain at AE have you gone?

You know where they are now, so that's half the battle.

Try Madrid telephone information for the phone number of the AE unclaimed baggage warehouse. Get a Spanish speaking friend, if you do not speak Spanish, to talk to them. Those are big boxes, they must be findable.
