Betsy Ross Hotel in South Beach

Anyone stayed at this hotel recently? We've booked it for this Nov9-12 and would like to know if there are any insider tips my boyfriend and I should know about the hotel or surrounding areas as far as beach, dining,
bars, clubs or getting around. We are both 25. Thanks for any info.

Location is great right on Ocean Drive around 13th Street.

The facade is not deco but kind of weird in that it is different from everything around the hotel. The interior is very South Beachish deco minimalist.

Tons of shopping, dining and nightlife very near you.

Mansion, Sky Bar, Raleigh Pool Party, Clevelander (happy hour), Delano Hotel, The Hotel roof bar, etc. are all must dos to start.

If you do a search on South Beach, you'll find tons of club and dining suggestions.

GoTravel- thanks for all the info.
Do you or anyone else, know how far the hotel is from the beach, if there are beach chairs or is it just a towels on the sand? Any info would be helpful. Thankx.

Justray, the hotel is across the street from Lummus Park which is a thin park that is oceanfront.

You are basically right across the street from the beach and I don't think there are any visual obstructions (there is a Greater Miami Chamber mini building oceanfront and a MPD mini building but I think they are around 10th and Ocean Drive) in front of the hotel.

Most hotels contract with chair rental companies so you will have access to beach chairs. If they aren't free, there is a minimal charge per chair per day.

The oceanfront hotels aren't any closer to the beach because the beach is so wide.

Enjoy and make sure you visit the rooftop bar of The Hotel for views to die for and drink a mojito or caiprihana for me!
