Best white sand beach/calm swimming beach in Hawaii

Need help finding 5 star resort like a 4-seasons or Ritz C..on a white sand beach with calm swimming waters...does this exist in Hawaii..or just in Caribbean...I'm aware of the resorts, but not sure if their beaches are all that great....some are volcano sand, etc..huge waves...Help! thanks

Try the Kahala Mandarin Oriental on Oahu. The beach in front is not deep. There is a floating sun deck out as well. The hotel is absolutely fantastic!
We saw many families with little ones on the beach there. Also those iced wash clothes they bring to you.to cool your heated brow aren't bad at all!!

Unfortunately, not on Maui. You might also want to try the Mauna Lani Bay Resort on the Big Island

While not as glitzy as the Four Seasons, or the Mauna Lani, you might want to look into the Mauna Kea on the Big Island. It has one the the best white sand beaches in the world and it's a real classic. It appeals to an older crowd. Someone once said that it's where the rich, old Republicans go to die.

Hapuna Prince beach (and hotel) on the Big Island. The sand is so soft and white- it's like pudding. The water was warm and fairly calm (in May when we were there). We didn't stay in the hotel, but we enjoyed the beach. Have fun!

The beach at Manele is not only too far away from the rooms but the water is rough and unappealing!
