Best Western Woodward - is it safe, clean and convenient?

Visiting New York for the first time next summer with two kids - is the Best Western Woodard safe, clean, and a convenient place to stay? Or is it better to pay more and stay at the Marriott Marquis?

Thank you for your help

Alma: Thee is no comparison between the two hotels. Woodward at 55th and Broadway is an old hotel, clean and fairly well located but with small rooms and older furnishings. Unless you get a suite, you may be hard pressed to fit 3 in a room with comfort. On the other hand, the Marquis is a large hotel well located in Times Square with all the luxury you would want...large rooms..big bathroom, modern amenities....and you pay for them. If I remember correctly, there is an almost $100.00 difference per night in the room rate, unless you can get a special rate of some sort. The Marquis if definately the nicer hotel.
