Best waterfall to swim in -Maui of BI??
My son is set on swimming in a water fall in Hawaii. I think that his 18 year old vision of what a Hawaiian vacation should be is making this trip a great deal of fun! We will be visiting Maui and the Big Island. Twin Falls in Maui was recommended. Any thoughts from the Fodors experts?

One thing to keep in mind when swimming in freshwater streams in Hawaii is leptospiroisis, a nasty bacteria that can, in extreme cases, be fatal. I'm pretty sure it's not as common on Maui, so your son might want to stick to swimming in waterfalls there. Just google leptospiroisis for more info.
