Best value hotel in Kaanapali
WE are a family of 3 and would like a hotel that you can walk out of and be close to shops and restaurants .
Could you recommend a good hotel that perhaps is a 31/2 or 4 standard, with a nice pool area as one of us prefers to relax near a pool rather than the beach.
Many thanks
Robin

Depending on what you want to pay I would also say the Kaanapali Beach hotel, which is more 3*. It has a very small whale shaped pool and is an older property. The Sheraton is about a 4* but will cost a lot more. It has a much better pool area with a kiddie pool and much better rooms. Join spg.com and book at 35% off. Just remember, you absolutely get what you pay for on the islands. There really aren't any bargains. If you book a super special at a low rate you are going to get a room with out a view.

We have stayed at the Hyatt once, and are staying at the Sheraton this August. The rates for these hotels are pretty expensive, but I got them both on Hotwire for great prices. I got the Hyatt for $208/night, and I got the Sheraton for $187/night, so both were a great deal. Both have nice pools, and are an easy walk to Whaler's Village for shops and restuarants.
