Best tours/dolphin excursions

I will be going to honolulu in May and there are so many tours available. Can any recent traveller help me out and let me know which tours they enjoyed or were diappointed with. Also with so many dolphin excursions, I am hoping to get help with this. Thanks!!

Hello, we just got back from an awesome trip in waikiki. we signed our kids up with dolphin quest. they actually got in and hugged, kissed and swam with the dolphins. this is held at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental in Oahu. about 15 min from the hilton Hawaiian Village. they have 3 programs, but you need to call in advance for reservations. they have a photographer taking pictures of the whole experience. if you would like more info feel free to ask..have fun

It depends on the age and if you want a 1/2 hour or hour, we took the only time available and that was at 2:00 and it was the 1/2 hour program. this was $125.oo per person...but well worth it, we have pictures of the kids, (12 and 14) kissing, and hugging thir dolphin (Noah). you can use their resturants and beach as we did and the beach is very nice. the kids even got in the pool. here is their website..www.dolphinquest.org

You might want to browse around, I think there are some threads on the problems with these places, from the dolphins' point of view.
