best time to buy Hawaii pkg for June
A 6 night package currently runs about $1100 for Aston Waikiki Beach for June. I know that' s not the high season, but it is a popular vacation time for most. Should I lock in this price now or will it likely go lower?

6 nights for the Aston Waikiki..seems high for a average 3 star...if its the tower then that is a great deal and I would book that at $1,100pp for flight/hotel/car!
What travel websites are you looking at?
Some really great 4* hotel deals..from travelzoo, expedia and if your a Costco member too.
Aloha

Thanks, ksucat. I failed to say this includes airfare, also. It's on expedia. I'll check travelzoo, but when I used Yahoo Travel, the prices seemed about the same. It doesn't include a car and we're traveling from Dallas. It's for a junior suite, ocean front.
I'm assuming you're a KSU Wildcat? They weren't too nice to our Baylor Bears the other night. Good, close game.

aloha centex!
I plugged in for 7 nights on expedia since a lot of places are offering the 7th night free on expedia with flight/hotel/car.
Junior suite oceanfront...sweet!
It plugged me in as San Diego.
Starwood, Hyatt and Marriott direct might have some good deals too.
Things are super cheap right now but June is when things get busy in O'ahu.
The great thing about O'ahu is they have the best transit system and though I usually rent a car, I cannot say enough how great their buses run..take a shuttle from the Airport.
Did you check the airlines package deals?
The Aston tower is $2,500 on expedia.
Did you try Outrigger hotels and resorts?

Yes, apparently just about every site is plugged into Expedia/Travelocity, so the results are pretty much the same. I should have booked yesterday when it was just $1012 each for non-stop each way. The flight's gone up and I've found in the past that if I'm patient and try again at the right time, I can get the old price. But it hasn't worked today-maybe I'll stay up late.
If we're just going to Oahu, is 5 nights enough?

I love O'ahu and a lot of the resorts are offering buy 6 nights get the 7th free.
Are you going to other islands?
I like a week at least in each island.
Lots to do in O'ahu..if you are flying in from DFW, I would do a week but you only know what is best for you and your family.
Don't you hate when you lag on booking a trip and then it goes up big time..its still early so there is time.
Are you a Costco member? They've had some great hotel 4-5* resorts for super cheap.
Don't worry that trip or something better will come around!

Patience paid off, a little. Booked for $1,023 pp for a one stop flight from Dallas and non-stop on return. Can't complain too much about that. Got a junior suite w/ocean view for 6 nights-virtual room tour looks pretty nice. Can't wait!
Now we have to come up with things to do!
