Best Rate at Four Seasons BI?
I plan to go to the Big Island for a honeymoon in September and would like to spend some time at the Four Seasons. Thus far, the best rates I have seen are the rack rates ($505, including breakfast for least expensive room) on their own web site. I hear September is the shoulder season and was hoping to find some kind of discount. I am pretty internet savvy, but have yet to come across a discount. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks!

Two suggestions:
1) When you get there, ask for an upgrade when you mention you're on your honeymoon. Since September is off-peak, it could be easier from to get an upgrade.
2) You can use Amex membership rewards points towards free nights there.
Congratulations, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Hi GoTravel,
I didn't think the Four Season's had an official frequent stay program? Are you sure about this? If so, please provide more detail. My understanding is that the FS properties simply keep track of their guests in a very discreet way and reward their most frequent guests (and guests they make the most profit off of) through gifts in the room.

Use a virtuoso travel agent and and book a classic custom vacations.com package. cc offers several types of packages and are usually around $100/nt cheaper than through the 4S direct. A good virtuoso agent will get you the OCV upgrade, was upgraded to OCV at BI and exec suite in Maui. Congrats = )
