Best Photogenic site?

Where in the world can I find the most photogenic site in the world? I like to photograph landscapes and historic sites.

Glacier Point overlooking Yosemite Valley.
Sublime Point in Grand Canyon.
Sunrise Point in Bryce Canyon.

You sound like a beginning photographer.

Keep in mind that a pic of a photogenic site, taken by pro will be far superior to what most amateurs wil take.

For one thing, a pro is more likely to make sure he/she is taking the pic at the EXACT time of day when the lighting suits them.

A pro once told me that any good photographier can get a great pic wherever they are.

I'm an amateur photographer - and my favorite places to photograph (to date) for landscapes are: Sedona, AZ; Vermont in the Fall; Bora Bora and Tahiti, FP. For historical - Europe - Rome, Venus and Paris (so far....). I want to go to Bryce Canyon - from everything I've heard - that will probably end up in the top 3 list.....

The most photographed mountains in the world are the Grand teton range. Does that make them the most photogenic? Who knows?

The most photogenic place is the place that stirs your creativity the most. I have a shot from the top of Canon Mountain in New Hampshire that ranks right up there. Fuji film used to promote a shot from route 140 in West Boylston, Mass. The Boston Globe ran a stunning series of shots from within 50 feet of the massachusetts Turnpike within 30 miles of Boston. All were extraordinary.

Having said all that, wherever Ansell Adams took his camera...that would be a good place.

Another very photogenic spot would be Hallstat Austria, a small mountain village nestled alongside a lake. The view from the town is almost unearthly, tall craggy mountains going right into a beautiful unspoiled lake.

Places I've wished I had a camera (the pictures in my mind are unbeatable though):
Lake Lugano
Lake Como at dusk and with early AM fog
Tuscany at dusk (too many specific spots to list)
Mountains above Montreaux Switzerland
Paris along the Seine
Cannes in midsummer on a clear day
Mykonos in summer
Uluru (Ayers Rock) Australian outback
South Island/Milford Sound New Zealand
Waimea Canyon Kauai
North shore of Oahu when waves are maxing
Lake Tahoe on a clear winter day
Sedona near dusk

Might I first suggest a visit to the "text search" function available to you on this board. Type in something crazy, like say...oh I don't know PHOTOGENIC, and see what comes up! You will be amazed!!!

Canadian Rockies....Went one July to Sunshine Village resort on a mtn above Banff, Alberta. They have one chair lift open in summer that you can ride over the top of the mtn to a viewing deck. A that point you are standing on a large wooden deck located directly on the continental divide and are looking west over an ENORMOUS valley full of summer wild flowers, green vegetation, and patches of leftover snow (as you are in a spot that sees 22 feet of snow annually so it doesn't all melt) -- It is absolutely fabulous!! NOTE: The resort is located at about 7500 ft elev. and it is only accessible by Gondola (unless they built a road up there since I was there in the 90's). It is the most awesome panorama I have ever seen!

complete Websters:
1 : produced or precipitated by light <photogenic dermatitis>
2 : producing or generating light : PHOSPHORESCENT <photogenic bacteria>
3 : suitable for being photographed <a photogenic smile>

so I would say the most photogenic site is Nebraska, as the corn fields there are a product of sunlight.

Paris & Venice are probably two of the most photogenic cities. The list of outdoors sites is endless but how about Iceland ?

Lake Tahoe, with its mountains, pine trees, blue skies, and of course the lake. I have a picture of my husband and I there, and everyone thinks the background is too perfect to be real. They think it's one of those fake backgrounds that you can stand in front of at a photography studio!

Hong Kong Harbor at night from the top of the Victoria Peak tram is absolutely stunning!

We also like the view of the Tetons from Signal Mountain Campground, Grindewald and Lauterbrunnen and the Jungfrau in Switzerland, and the red rock country of the southwest U.S. (Arches, Bryce, Monument Valley, Sedona, Dead Horse Point, etc.).

Kyoto, Japan has more sights than can be seen in a week. Guilin, China is unforgettable.
