Seattle. Lots to do and see there. Mt. Raindeer, the islands, coffee spots, hsopping, great variety of restaurants and cultural agenda items. After going there once to check out a car (didn't buy it), we couldn't wait to come back with the kids. They loved it, too. Pikes Mkt....the lake area....the college area....Bellevue....I could go on and on.

Howdy Folks!
Thanks for all of the responses so far but I sure am hoping for more. I know that I have better things to do but I calculated how many of you cited the same city and which cities were cited. I eliminated duplicate posts and posts that weren't applicable (i.e. mine) for a total of 15 replies.
Here's the results....
Las Vegas, 1 vote, 6.7%
Maine, 2 votes, 13.3%
Paris, 1 vote, 6.7%
San Francisco, 3 votes, 20.0%
Grand Cayman, 1 vote, 6.7%
Sydney, 1 vote, 6.7%
East Coast, 1 vote, 6.7%
New York City, 1 vote, 6.7%
Anywhere, 1 vote, 6.7%
Maui/Hawaii 2 votes, 13.3%
Yes, I was kind of assuming that since this is the U.S. forum, the answers would be domestic.
What?
No D.C.?
No Philadelphia?
No Boston?
No Chicago?
That's interesting.

Troy _ well, you're right, of course...and wrong. IMHO...If you contrast responses here to the wide-ranging ones, say, on the Europe forum, which scarcely would be confined to metro areas...I think you'd be hearing a much wider range of opinions...
They're nice certainly (the urban centers), any one of them-- and each offers a plethora of cultural/urban expolorations.
But what about the (many) wide-open spaces we're lucky enuf to have available to us in the US....???? And the horizon-expanding experiences we can find in any of these fantastic locations???

SWEET HOME CHICAGO!!!!!!!!! We travel all over the US and world for work but Chicago truly encompasses everything you would want. Unbelievable -museums,dining,sport venues, lakefront with all its fun activities, friendly people,CLEANLINESS of city, etc.( It has a small town feeling in a major urban setting of 8 million people.)Most people will agree that once you have been to Chicago-you would like to go back.
