Did you mean "Pleasure Island"?
We were there a couple weeks ago and I am a bit surprised they are closing as it has stayed relatively busy when we have visited. Someone at one of the Disney restaurants told us they thought that Disney was going to make the new area more family friendly which is fine but a bit unfortunate for those who go to Disney and want a slightly more adult entertainment experience. At least Downtown Disney will remain open with shops and restaurants.
I'm fairly sure that Cirque du Soleil will remain open.

If you have a car and it's a Fri. or Sat. go downtown. I don't know what age you are but there are a lot of clubs and restaurants in Thorton Park (Hues) and lots of places on South Orange Ave. There is a great hotel on Orange Ave. and Jackson called the Grand Bohemian. They have great jazz combos (check the website for times) and although the restaurant is pricey the bar where the music is has reasonable, delicious things and drinks at no more than Disney prices. It's a hip and arty hotel but NOT the Disney experience. And there won't be screaming kids everywhere. I'm not dissing kids, it's just that we're talking about nightlife here!
