Best Casino NY or Canada from Niagara

We are heading up to Niagara-on-the-lake, Canada for the weekend and would love to stop for a couple of hours of gambling on the way home to Erie PA. Which casino is most accessible and nicest? If we can avoid Niagara Falls traffic, so much the better. Thanks...

From what I saw the two casinos were on the Canadian side. It is a maze right there getting in/out with a car- we were at the Brock which is actually attached to the older casino.

The two on that side are probably less than 3 or 4 blocks from each other. We parked in the high rise garage that also housed a water park attached to one casino and the Brock- all one huge mass of building.

The Brock is old and was the hotel featured in Marilyn Monroe's casino.

If you are staying on the Canadian side I would do one of these casinos on that side.

I know nothing about any on the American side- I didn't see evidence.

Fallsview (newer one in Canada) is the nicest I think. The other one in Canada is the original temporary casino that was built until Fallsview was built. Locals claim the odds are better at the older one. Not being a gambler, I couldn't tell. The big difference between US and Canada casinos is smoking. Ontario has enacted restrictive laws regarding smoking and all or most of the casinos are smoke free. Not so on the US side where the casino is on sovereign (sp) land and not subject to NY no smoking laws. It's opressively smoky and if you dont like smoke, you won't like it. You might want to check out the show schedules for FAllsview or Seneca (US). They both have some good shows/banks coming in. Have fun!

We weren't there long at the older one (maybe 2 hours)on the Canadian side and I won. About $60. LOL! Flaming 7's quarter slots with 5 rows across.

Niagara Fallsview casino will be the nicest. The parking and traffic is pretty congested at most times. There is also Casino Niagara. Both in Canada. Both casinos are very close to each other. You will have a better view of the Falls from the Canadian side but many more people. My advice would be to park a little further away and walk. On the American side, there is the Seneca Niagara casino. Not as glamorous as the Fallsview casino though but nice. The traffic/parking situation is much better on the American side. Since you're from Erie, there's also the Seneca Alleghany casino. Not sure if this would be on your ride home or not. Hope this helps. Have a great time. Niagara on the lake is one of my favorite spots to visit.
