Canada Wonderland or Six Flags??

Canada Wonderland or Six Flags??
We are going to Niagara Falls on June 24-27 and we want to spend a day in an amusement park. Which one do you suggest and why? How far is Canada wonderland from the falls? How far is the six flags? Any discount coupons out there for either of them?

Canada's Wonderland is about a 1.5 to 2 hour from Niagara Falls. You pretty much have to drive to Toronto,a nd then go north from Toronto for another half hour or so. You can do this all on limited access highspeed highways, except for traffic jams. Assume four hours round trip from Niagara Falls to and from getting your car parked and unparked at Canada's Wonderland.
Marineland in Niagara Falls is a favorite of my son (he's 10 now, been there every year for four or five years) and his grownup cousin (who is a first grade teacher so knows what kids like).
There's something else called Cedarpoint, or similar, near Niagara Falls, but I know nothing about it (apparently even including the name)
You can combine a lot of stuff in Niagara Falls to approximate a theme park, too. Maid of the Mist, jet boat ride in the rapids, aerocar across the gorge, Butterfly Conservatory...

a year later and I am still asking myself the same question......we want to go camping next weekend and enjoy an amusement park/water park. We live in Ottawa so the drive to either Six Flags (I guess they might have changed names now...) and Canada wonderland is about the same.....what does everyone suggest? Which one has be best waterpark?

The park you are considering on the US side was Six Flags Darien Lake... it is now just Darien Lake theme park... it has an extensive Water Park and at least five major roller coasters as well as several other rides and attractions... the park is an hour from the Falls and also features a campground and a Lodge... for you, this may be the ideal choice... have a look at their website...
