all these ideas are great...for our 25th, I'm trying decide between to decide between Bora Bora or Le Casa Que Canta in Zihuatenejo, but that's a few years away, and the big one!

Los Cabo has some great spots for an r&r anniversary, check out the Marquis or Esperanza.

And on the Caribbean side of Mexico, the new Fairmont Mayakoba looks beautiful and can be very reasonable, or for a little more, Maroma, very romantic. Have fun planning !

How about a cruise in the South Pacific?

Radisson Seven Seas has the Paul Gauguin which wins awards all the time.

i LOVE cruising....but dripping with romance and ambience isn't what I've experienced. Days packed with fun, music, dancing, shows, endless action, relaxation on the balcony, working out, meeting new friends...etc, etc.
But if you want solitude and quiet romance, pick the toniest resort you can afford. I still vote for the British Virgin islands if you crave Caribbean!

twinmom2X2n1.....we're also in Idaho! And we always try to make a special anniversary trip (which is also the end of April!).

From Boise (don't know where exactly you are in Idaho), we've done annivesary trips to...

Sun Valley
Walla Walla WA
San Francisco
Seattle
Cannon Beach
Hilton Head, SC
Honolulu, HI
Charlottesville, VA
Napa Valley, CA
Key West, FL
Charleston SC
St Michaels, MD
Dublin, Ireland

Each one was a favorite. I don't think it matters where you go, as long as you go and make it special! Have a wonderful time!

I just spent far too long on another post and so will have to keep this one short. My favourite anniversary destination was when my wife and I went on a trip to Prague. Staying in the beautiful Andels Hotel, within walking distance to the city centre, we visited some of the finest restaurants (including one dating back over 1100 years!) we have ever come across and enjoyed the many museums and galleries on offer. However it was the beautiful Hdracany (hope I spelt that correctly) castle district, overlooking the city that really was amazing. In short, if you are looking for an air of gothic romance, Prague is definitely the place to be.
