Been to Milford Plaza(NYC) recently?

I'm in a bit of pickle. Hotel Discounters steered me into booking into the Milford Plaza in NYC (I was originally going to book at the Carlton), and I've just read some older posts saying the MP is not a good place to stay. I know it's been recently renovated. Does anyone have any info that could help here? Thanks

Mary, it's an overpriced dump and always will be I'm afraid. Keep looking! Very rarely are any Milford Plaza guests even remotely pleased with their choice.

It is certainly not the "lullaby of all Broadway"!

Woaha, I must be a rare specimen - a guest at the Milford Plaza who was quite happy to be there. Not the best hotel in the world I admit, but certainly not as bad as some posts would lead you to believe.
We were there last week and although the rooms are small, the location is perfect. Right near eveything you need. Don't expect too much and you'll be okay - I'd certainly stay there again for the central location.

I'm glad Helen had a good time but i still wouldn't recommend it. I got it for $85 on Priceline and still felt I overpaid.

After a long walk up the island away from the devastation of September 11th, I stopped into the restaurant downstairs at MP to grab a much needed bite. Nothing to complain about there but when I went to use the bathroom, they gave me a key to the hotel bathroom. I have to agree with most everyone else here. The hotel itself was unimpressive and if they put that little thought into the first areas of contact, I wouldn't spend my money there.
