Baseball strike

Major League Baseball players plan to strike on Sept. 16. Will it affect your travel? Who cares if the baseball players strike? I find the players and owners pampered brats, I hope they strike, and I wish the ticket-buyers would go on strike too. A plague on both the players' and owners' houses.

Why would a baseball strike have an impact someone's travel plans.?

I guess he is afraid the baseball players will have withdrawal symptoms from their steroids and go on rampages at airports and in airplanes.

I couldn't agree more Bolt, save for one thing.
I'va all but boycotted baseball since the big strike 8 years ago.
Let 'em rot.
I refuse to pay attention anymore.

If those players strike, alot of people could lose their jobs. Everyone from factory workers that make the merchandise to the people that work at the stadiums.

If the billionaire owners and millionaire players expect any public sympathy while they duke it out for more millions, they'd better think again. The salaries are outrageous, the ticket prices are outrageous, the egos and prima donna attitudes are outrageous. And we the taxpayers get the privilege of funding their stadiums.

If they strike I'll never watch another pro game again. I only watch the Braves now as it is, and only for Andruw and Rafael, ever since the last strike. Not any more. They can kiss their fan base goodbye with their greed.

DUH, of course it will affect some people's travels Mr. X. Thousands and thousands of people plan their vacations every year around baseball. It's the American pastime you know. Or at least it WAS when America was still America.

Fodor's puts out several books based on baseball vacations. They sell THOUSANDS of copies at $15 and $20 a pop. Baseball travel is alive and well and will be adversely affected by a strike. If you're planning a baseball vacation in Sept, don't book with Priceline or any of the non-refundable hotel sites as you may need to cancel your plans.
