Baseball Road Trip

My husband and I are planning a cross country trip (starting @Pennsylvania) to see Major League and Minor League baseball games and also site seeing. Would appreciate any ideas of additional places or things to see on our trip which is going to start in Cincinnati then Chicago (been to Chicago before but never saw the White Sox), then Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver, Kansas City and Indianapolis (Minor League team). The trip will be over a 23 day period. Any information will be appreciated.

If you have time, you could see the Colorado Springs Sky Sox about an hour south of Denver, then swing down I-25 to Albuquerque to watch our Isotopes.

In addition to the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio has the Cleveland Indians (MLB), Columbus Clippers (Indians AAA), Akron Aeros (Indians AA), and Toledo Mudhens (Detroit Tigers AAA). If you're in Cleveland, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is also worth a visit. Coming or going between KC and Indy is St. Louis, home of the Cardinals (MLB).

I think Dayton & Cleveland also have great ball parks to visit in Ohio. http://www.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t459 KC & St. L appear to be a bit out of the way...as well as Denver. You may find that many of the smaller minor league parks will provide a nicer atmosphere than many big league parks...

My husband has a goal to try to go to all of the Major League stadiums, so we are definitely hitting all those on our list, but we will be adding some minor league games in between. Thanks for all of the ideas.
Anybody have ideas of something other than baseball games to stop and see? What about Green Bay? We were thinking of driving up from Milwaukee to see the town, worth it? Also, ideas for Milwaukee and Minneapolis?

Since you are from PA you should also visit Williamsport to see the Crosscutters http://williamsport.crosscutters.mil...x.jsp?sid=t449
Try to see the Little League headquarters in South Williamsport.

Brenda: My wife and I are doing the MLB stadium thing too. In Milwaukee we stayed at an Irish B&B and enjoyed crawling the downtown riverwalk and establishments in the 3rd Ward. I recommend the Hinterland, a "Gastropub" on Erie St.
Have fun!

We're going to the Mitchell Park Conservatory and the Milwaukee Public Museum in a week or so, along with a tour of Lakefront Brewery. www.lakefrontbrewery.com

tomfuller: we live 20 miles from Williamsport and go to as many crosscutters games as possible. Also, Little League games are always a must. Have you been to any? Thanks
