BART--Montgomery or Powell?

We are arriving at Oakland Airport and staying at Westin St. Francis. We are planning to take BART into the city.

Read other posts. Seems like the walk from Powell to the hotel is uphills. Is it really steep?

Is the walk easier if we get off at Montgomery? We have luggages.

Thanks.

No, it's not steep but Union Square is busy. Just have a little patient riding Bart and when you walk with lugguages around people.

It is not steep and you only have two blocks to go, but heed the advice about crowds around the Powell Street cable car terminal. Watch your wallet here. Probably no problem, but hangers-on may be around.

It's uphill but not too steep and not too far. Just be sure you have luggage with wheels.

We did that walk in Dec with heavy shopping bags and it was fine.
