Barcelona Hotel ???

My 12 year old daughter and I will be gong to Barcelona in March. My husband doesn't like old hotels so since he isn't going with us I would like to stay in a very nice , quaint old hotel. Any suggestions ??? Money isn't an issue. I just want the experience for my daughter to be different from the same kind of hotel you can stay in anywhere.

I think you'll have more luck with responses if you repost this on the Europe board.

Good luck!

do you really want quaint and old or conveniently located?

You might take a look at the Colon (not the Regencia Colon, it's more budget sibling).

Some of the hotels are in converted town "mansions" such as those in the Apsis group...www.apsishotels.com which you may find to be in a more convenient location than the Colon.

I stayed at the Tyrp Apolo hotel in barcelona and it was very nice and modern, had a fantastic breakfast included. The hotel is surrounded by lots of places to eat and shop.
