Bar Harbor B&B Suggestions

My husband and I will be traveling to Bar Harbor, after visiting Camden, in late September. We would love suggestions on B&Bs close to the main parts of town. We like to walk to restaurants, shops, etc and love to keep our rooms under $200/night.

I haven't been yet but did some research. Both the Hearthside B&B and Holland Inn looked like affordable options.

The Castlemaine Inn B&B is our favorite in Bar Harbor. They have great breakfasts and are within a short walking distance to all of the stores and a grocery store also. Also, there is adequate parking.

We loved the Bass Cottage Inn, it's on a dead end street called The Field, next to the Ullikana, another B & B. Breakfasts to die for, evening hors d'oeuvres w/wine, and afternoon home baked cookies. The rooms are gorgeous.Sometimes they have last minute availability at lower rates. Worth a try. www.basscottage.com
