Thanks, Kal, I left plenty of aloha for you.

Irish, thank you. We intend to try Maui next time. The one thing about Kauai in November was that the ocean was rough for snorkling, even down south.

Actually the best beach we swam at was Kialua on east Oahu -- althought the visibililty wasn't good for snorkeling it had soft clean sand and that great turquoise water. And salty! I floated like anything.

So beautiful, Hawaii. sigh.

We just came back from our Maui vacation and had the time of our lives..
First of all, I would recommend getting a copy of "Maui Revealed" travelbook by Andrew Doughty. I found this book to be immensely helpful in helping me select the activites I like, the best beaches on the island, the restaurants I would prefer.

We visited the:
Molokini crater.
Kihei, Wailea and Makena area
Kanappalli, Napili and Kapalua
Halaekala crater

I would suggest spending atleast 5 days on this island.
