back from bar harbor to Maine

Where is a good place to stay after a trip to Nova Scotia and coming back on the Cat ferry?

Are you looking for a motel for one night, walking distance to the ferry?

The Holiday Inn is right next door to the Cat. I stayed there and it was a nice hotel. It has a nice pool overlooking the water.

Hi, thank you for your reply. At the start of our trip we were going to stay at the Best Western (3 miles to cat). (Any info on that?) Coming home I found a place called Bluenose Inn-Bar Harbor Hotel. Have you heard of this Inn?
We will be staying one night and then heading back to NJ. When the kids were little we camped in Acadia National Park. It was wonderful. It will just be my husband and I this trip. It is our 30th anniversary. We always wanted to come back to Maine, go over to Nova Scotia, then a leisure trip through Maine heading home.
Thank you for your help.

The Bluenose is beautiful. Nice ocean views, really deluxe. www.bluenoseinn.com

The Best Western is a clean, average motel. We prefer www.parkentrancemotel.com only because it's right on the water. But just for a sleep, rooms at the BW are just fine.
