bachelor party hotel in South Beach?

We're planning a bachelor party in South Beach, does anyone have recommendations on hotels?

I've been to South Beach a few times and have a sense of the hotels, but every time I've gone it's been for two. The bach party will probably be 8-10 relatively upscale guys in their 30s.

Thanks.

The Raleigh, Delano or the new Victor Hotel (although it's the smallest and most expensive of the three, it's right on Ocean)

How true, BigJim. But unfortunately some of us aren't quite as young as we used to be... including the 37-year old groom.

Add the National and the Loews to Kehsutton's list. The former for its Déco sheen and Cool factor (it's been in many music videos), the latter for its supplement of typical Big City mod-cons. Additionally, they're large enough that you might get a deal on a small block of rooms.

Just keep it relatively classy at these hotels. You can go watch the frat-boy/Girls Gone Wild antics over at the Clevelander-- or watch the dog-and-pony show for the tourist rubes over at Mango's.

in addition to rjw and Kehsutton, I'll throw in The Tides.

What is your budget per night? Keep in mind double/double rooms in South Beach are so much more expensive than they are anywhere else.

The Ritz-Carlton has had some really good rates lately.

Thanks everyone. And more advice welcome.

Yes, these are the kinds of hotels we're looking for. And about the right budget: would love to get it under $200 a night, but whatta ya gonna do. As I said, I am somewhat familiar with the South Beach hotel scene, so I do have some sense of where these are. And yes, would like to stay in the type of beach access, pool access, drinks access, big enough for a group of happy-go-lucky but "classy" guys hotel.

One other suggestion might be to try the Roni. It's a little bit north of true SOBE, but I made the walk myself no problem. The rooms are more like apartments...very roomy. Give them a call to check on rates. They also have balconies.

My choice would be "The Hotel". Rooftop pool, superb location, great service, and an amazing restaurant (Wish). Have fun!
