B&B's in Oregon

We're going to be going to a football game in Corvallis in September. Rather than driving back to Portland the same night and chance inclement weather (what in Oregon?), I thought it might be nice to stay at a B&B in the area, but don't know how to start the search.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice B&B near or in Corvallis? If not, any suggestions on how to start searching?

Awww, c'mon, Leburta! ;-) It rains a lot here, but it would be a rare day in September that the weather would be so bad as to make driving difficult. So, I wouldn't make your decision based on that. But, if you do decide you want to stay in a B&B, the best bet might be to head north towards wine country on 99W. Otherwise, I don't know if Corvallis has much to offer. It's not really a B&B sort of town. Hopefully mms will see this and prove me wrong.

LOL beachbum, will only prove you partially wrong

There are not a lot of B&B's in Corvallis, but hands down the best one is Harrison House. They have been around forever, etc. I have not stayed there, but a family member did get married there and so we had the bedrooms for our use as well and everything was very nice.

Is this an OSU game you are headed to? The night games can end up quite late. We tried to stay in Corvallis after one this past fall, but all hotels were booked solid. If you decide you want to stay, I would book now just to be safe.

We usually roast during the September games, but after that all bets are off.

Yes, mms, we're going to a University of Hawaii/OSU game. We know the date, but the time hasn't been set yet. I'm don't mind driving back to Portland if it's an afternoon game, but if it's an evening game, I'd rather stay close by.

I'll check out Harrison House and any where else you might suggest. I thought I might just make a reservation in case it's a night game, then cancel if it is not.

Leburta--Smart move. The only two other places that I would recommend in town (although they are hotels) are the Salbasgeon Suites and the Best Western. They are next door to each other, and IMO, the only decent places to stay in town. They are very nice. We have stayed at the Salbasgeon several times. Definitely make reservations soon since both places fill up fast on game weekends.

Leburta--Glad to help. But I have to tell you, I am a huge Beavs fan, so I will probably be there cheering them on Not sure if you know about this place or not, but Woodstocks Pizza is close to campus and is excellent. We cannot go to Corvallis without stopping there. The wheat crust...mmmmm!!!
