B&B recommendations in San Antonio?
Yikes! My husband told me our convention hotel in San Antonio in January is completely booked up, and their secondary hotel is also close to filling up. We had a nice time staying at a B&B in Kentucky this summer, he wants to try that again. Does anyone have any suggestions? The one (possible) problem in finding a B&B is that we will also have our 3 kids--ages 12, 14 & 19. There is a chance the 19 year old may not go with us.

I've never stayed at Oge House, but pass it every weekend and it looks beautiful from the outside. http://tinyurl.com/omsvu
Traveling with kids might be a problem with a B&B, and although Oge looks very pretty, it's probably a 15-20 minute walk up the river to the heart of the Riverwalk.
Which is your convention hotel? Perhaps I can recommend something near it. You might also check a couple of the suites hotels, such as La Contessa, or Amerisuites.

According to their website, Homewood Suites is three blocks from the Convention Center which should put it about two block from the Hilton as the Hilton is across the street from the Convention Center. Great location--you can walk everywhere.

My husband and I and two other couples stayed at The Homewood suites in April. We were there for convention. About a 5-7 minute walk to convention center. It was great and much cheaper than convention hotel. You get a breakfast included, great for kids, they can eat all they want. They also have a happy hour every night with food and drinks ( wine, margaritas, beer).Rooms are great with full kitchen, living area and seperate bedroom.Pool is a rooftop, very small but ok.Hotel is on the end of riverwalk, but you can just go down the steps to get on it.Hope this helps.
