B&B for kids (age 4&5)?

This is my first trip to New Orleans. I am traveling with my family ( husband w/2 kids age 4 & 5 ) plus my in-laws. I have a choice to stay at the Wyndam - Metairie(brand new) or an old B&B called"Chimes". Any advice?

Don't know about Chimes but there's no way I'd stay in Metairie. Suburban hell, bad traffic and this "brand new" hotel is only next to an office bldg that will be deserted on weekends. Even the theatre is closing permanently on Sunday!

Staying in Metarie is NOT staying in New Orleans.

You are kidding, right Bette? I would never stay in the suburbs when I could stay in a historic neighborhood in a historic city.
