Ugh sf7307 as someone headed that way this afternoon I do not want to hear this.

So your drive was on Friday? Was this daytime? I am hoping to limit my driving between places in So Cal to the evening and late at night.

Suzie, we drove back up last night, left San Diego at 7 pm and were in Valencia at 9:30. Whew!!

Sorry, I just realized you might be heading south. Ifnso, note that there was still a tremendous amount of traffic southbound around 8 around Oceanside, so I'd leave even later if possible.

I like the 15 rather than the 5, but you never know.

Thursday & Friday afternoons are getaway day. Sunday evening is return time. If you are driving during those windows, yes it will be bad. Best to wait until at least 7pm to 8pm on those days. Saturday is generally a light day, but if you are traveling near the beaches in summer it will get congested. Best to leave as early Saturday morning as possible before the beach traffic builds.
