Attractions near Danville CA?

Going to Danville next Thursday for a Friday evening wedding. Is there anything interesting right near there to see(for adults, we don't have children)? We're spending a few days after the wedding in SF, so don't want to trek into the city on Friday. Also don't want a long drive as we'll be adjusting from east coast time and have to make it through the evening wedding. Any wineries (other than Napa Valley) in the vicinity? Any recommendations welcomed and appreciated.

Drive to the top of Mount Diablo. Nice views and not too far.

That weekend will be the Lafayette Art & Wine Fest. Also check out Walnut Creek--there are great shows at the Lesher Center if you are into theatre.

The Lafayette Art & Wine festival sounded great, but it's this weekend and we will be there next weekend. Guess I wasn't very clear, but thanks for the tip.
