Atlantic City, NJ Hotel Help Trump?
I have tickets to a concert at the Taj Mahal but there are no rooms available the night of the show. I made reservations at the Trump Marina--but I'm concerned about how far it is from the Taj Mahal (I don't want to have to worry about getting there after the show is over.) Any suggestions for a place that's closer to the Taj and equally nice? Thanks.

The Marina is not within walking distance, nor is Borgata.
www.acenethotels.com is an excellent site, as SusieQ mentioned.
Other very nice hotels along the boardwalk (other than the ones she mentioned - which are very close to Taj), are Caesars & Ballys. Also, the Claridge, and down farther, the Hilton. Anything along the boardwalk is within a reasonable distance, and if you don't want to walk, you can get a little push cart ride along the boardwalk. There are carts lined up everywhere. Enjoy the show!
PS - I just went to a great Greek restaurant along the boardwalk named "Opa". Very trendy/upscale looking, but not expensive, at all. It has some traditional dishes, as well as great pasta, seafood, salads, etc., and a very nice bar. It is near Bally's right on the boardwalk.

As previous posters have noted, Taj & Trump Marina are not near each other. For the $$ I'd stay at Borgata (Actually I had concert tix at Marina & stayed at Borgata)...anyway. There is a shuttle bus that runs between all the hotels and it's easy to use $2 per person I think. Runs all night, so don't worry too much if you can't get a place in walking distance to Taj.

Thanks for the comments. I read some additional posts about Borgata and have cancelled the reservation at Trump Marina and made one there. Is the shuttle bus safe to take late at night or would it be better to catch a cab? Also, any suggestions for a good place for breakfast? Many thanks.

d, as mgmargate says, the shuttle is safe and easy. I'd do breakfast buffet at Borgata, gives most choices and all you can eat too. We also had dinner at Mixx & late night eats at The Metropolitan, & Gypsy is a great tequila bar too. We also did a spa day at Toccare when we were there...it's like heaven! Have a great time!!
