Atlantic City: Hilton or Tropicana?

Would really appreciate advice on which one is nicer. Trop seems to be better location, but I've won more at the Hilton. Any advice on the rooms?

The Tropicana has "The Quarter" which is awesome and closer to everything else including the new Pier at Caesars. The Hilton sucks. Those are the main differences!

Seriously - check out the Trop - sometimes they have pretty cheap rates b/c they built a new tower so they have tons of rooms.

We stayed at the Tropican for a night.
That hotel is HUGE, and defies the laws of physics (it's bigger on the inside then on the outside).

If you need some dining suggestions let me know.

What is it that you are really interested in?
The standard rooms are very similar.
The Trop does have a better location, but they are both on the south end of the Boardwalk. Since they added The Quarter, the Trop does give you a lot to do under one roof.
My choice (of the two) would be the Trop with a room in The Quarter (which will cost a little more than a room in one of the other towers).

If you feel like the Hilton will be a more profitable experience for you, you should probably go with that.

We love the Trop; Great rooms, close to everything , and so many restaurants and shopping under one roof; A great indoor pool for cold days. My choice would be the TROP!

Thanks for all your help. I booked the Trop for only $89 per night and I'm pleased with that. The Hilton was $20 cheaper but I don't like the location as much.
