Atlanta coffee shops

OK - I live here, but my husband and I can't seem to find a good coffee shop for desert, etc. for after the theater. Good, as in not Starbucks. We have tried Opre Diem and it is fine, but crowded. Also forget Intermezzo - way too crowded. Any gems we are missing? Something in Midtown or Buckhead?

I like Octane on Howell Mill. Good desserts are also at Hueys (Beignets) on Peachtree in Midtown.
