Asheville- Inn or B&B near downtown

We're going to be spending 4 nights in late March. We loves old inns. If not an inn, then a small hotel with small suites would be wonderful. Any recommendations?

Look at the Red Rocker Inn in Black Mountain, just outside Asheville. It is everything that you could want and the restaurant which is open to the public is wonderful

Love, love, LOVE the Richmond Hill Inn. There's an old Victorian section, a new section, and our personal favorite, the croquet cottages. There is a 4 star restaurant on the premises and a wonderful breakfast. It's a few minutes drive to town and just so lovely you never want to leave.

Here's another vote for the Croquet Cottages at Richmond Hill Inn. We loved that place. We especially enjoyed the afternoon tea.

Loved the Albemarle, and it's within walking distance of the Grove Park Inn (which isn't a small inn or B&B at ALL, but where you might want to have dinner or a drink on the terrace). The Albemarle has some interesting history, including a connection with Dvorak. http://www.albemarleinn.com/
