Are these good seats for Lion King?
I managed to get some $100 tickets for Lion King on Tickemaster last night. They are Orchestra seats (I think row QQ)? I'm not familiar with the theatre layout and the generic seating map isn't great.
Has anyone here sat in and around that area? If so, what was the view like?
Thanks,
DSM

Hmmm...I believe that Row QQ would be Mezzanine, not Orchestra seats, which would put you up one level. You shouldn't have a problem viewing the show no matter where your seats are, but if your row is QQ, that would put you at the back. I don't think there are any obstructed views at the New Amsterdam.
Every Broadway show I have ever seen has offered a good view, even if I was in the last row. When I saw the producers, my seat couldn't have been further from the stage, but it presented no problems. The Lion King is a great show, enjoy!

Here's a really good seating chart:

Looks like QQ is the back row of the Mezzanine.

Most seats in most theaters are decent. The ones are the far side, whether in the balcony, mezz. or orch., sometimes are partial view (most activity is toward center stage which is always in view).
I haven't seen the Lion King in years, but do remember the characters coming down the orch. aisles for at least 1 number. Sitting close to an orch aisle I think would be the best seats, but most other seats would be fine. You should look at the link Austin provided to get an idea of your seat location.

Patrick,
Thanks for the info. I'm glad I got it wrong too! When everyone started telling me I was in the Mezzanine I rushed to check my tickets!
I'm sure the Mezzanine would be fine - but I was all set for sitting in the Orchestra seats (for the first time).
Thanks again,
DSM
